OK, so today we watched The Legend of Spookley the Square Pumpkin. The gist of the story is that it is ok to be different. I am not sure that my kiddos got the whole message, but we'll keep working on it! They did do very well creating their own Spookleys, even though it took a lot longer than I anticipated. Also, here are some of the pictures that I mentioned yesterday. ~shelton

Well, this is new to me. When making the schedule for this school year, I was asked about preschool. My reply was, "I have never worked with preschool before, but let's give it a go!" It was on. My first class was a disaster.
We started with the letter A. We used apple halves to stamp paint. Letter B was bug factory. Students used shapes to make bug collages. We tackled C and D together by categorizing cats and dogs. We watercolor painted the oceans because E is for Earth. We discussed the water and the land. Letter F, conveniently fell on Fire Safety week. We covered fire hats. This week we have skipped to a fall craft that we will use as place mats for Grandparents' Day. I will post pictures tomorrow. Things are going very well! Can't wait to see what happens next! ~shelton |
Author This is my 16th year! All of them have been at Bright! I actually started in the Art Room, spent a year in 4th grade, 7 years in 3rd grade, 5 years teaching 5th and 6th grade Social Studies, and last year I returned to the Art Room for this new Integrated Endeavor. ArchivesCategories |
